Jackie Biddy

Class of 1959 Paducah High Graduate..

Jackie Biddy, 66, a life time Cottle County resident began his heavenly journey Monday April 16, 2007 at his home with his family by his side.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday April 19, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Paducah with Pastor Ronnie Lambert officiating. Interment followed at Paducah's Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home.

Jackie was born March 6, 1941 to Homer and Bessie Biddy in Cottle County. He graduated Paducah High School with the class of 1959 and attended Texas Tech University on a track scholarship. While he was in college he met and married Hazel Lancaster. After working for a local ranch, he returned to Paducah to farm and ranch family land. Jackie was active in the Paducah community. He was a member of the First Baptist Church; he served on the Hospital Board, the Paducah Co-Op Gin, the Country Club Board, the Cottle-King Rodeo Association, the Paducah Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Booster Club.

He started his own trucking company by hauling cattle for the 6666 Ranch and later drove for Wal-Mart for 12 years. After retiring he was elected as Cottle County Justice of the Peace which he served until his death.

His survivors include his devoted wife of 45 years, Hazel Biddy; 5 sons, Robert and wife Cheryl Biddy of Kountze, Cody and wife Tracy Bigham of Amarillo, Yancy and wife Rhonda of Heath, Shannon Biddy of Waxahachie; one daughter, Jacqueline and husband Steve Starkey of Wilson and their chosen son Lindy Jordan of Paducah; two sisters, Margaret Hollar of Ft. Worth and Gale Fry of Tyler and six grandchildren.
